NS16 Conf InfoGraphicEach year, hundreds of men and women from across the country and around the world gather together at the North Star Conference for four key reasons: to create a safe place, to promote love, to learn tools, and to empower themselves and each other. You may live in Provo or Philly, and if your life is in some way touched by same-sex attraction or gender identity, the Conference is a place where you can feel the Spirit of the Lord and a sense of community. With keynote addresses by subject-matter experts and well-known authors, and over 30 break-out sessions focused on helping you live a Christ-centered life, there is something for everyone. We welcome individuals, friends and family, and Church leaders. Ethan M. said following the 2015 Conference,

“I loved the feeling of community & acceptance that pervaded the conference. I felt like I could be myself, & I felt loved for it.”

Will you join us March 17-19 in Provo? Register today at NorthStarConf.org. Early-bird registration ends February 5, and sponsorships are available to those who qualify for assistance (sponsorship applications are due February 1).

How can I get the most out of the 2016 Annual North Star Conference?

Even if you have attended the conference before, this year brings new opportunities for spiritual and personal growth. Here’s some information that will help you gain the most from your attendance.

This year’s conference will be held at the Provo Marriott and Conference Center in downtown Provo. A limited number of special rate rooms are available. Click here for details.

The conference sessions have been redesigned this year to allow more collaboration among attendees. Subjects like dealing with depression, faith, and developing healthy relationships necessitate well-educated presenters. Having these subject-matter experts present to every demographic ensures that all attendees are able to experience their messages. More combined tracks this year will increase the opportunity for interaction and demonstrate our similar needs, creating a more integrated environment for support.

We do recognize though that some subjects are more suitable for smaller workshops, with discussion directed at a specific demographic. For this reason, there are also sessions that are clearly identified as demographic-specific. As you review the complete agenda you will notice the hashtags under the description. These hashtags will help you identify the sessions that have a focused audience.

Most session topics can be beneficial to every attendee, but the descriptions will help you select the best one for you. We encourage you to visit the conference agenda page regularly to stay abreast of the phenomenal lineup of presenters that have been announced. The full schedule can be found here.

Sponsorships Available – Deadline February 1:

North Star strives to make it possible for everyone to attend the conference. We understand that budgets may be tight and the cost of the conference may be difficult. We are offering the ability for anyone to apply for a sponsorship to ease the expense of attendance. Simply visit the sponsorship page to apply for your sponsorship before they expire on February 1. Click here to apply.

To provide the sponsorships for attendees, we encourage those who are able to consider a donation towards the scholarship funds. We welcome donations of any amount, and you can make your contribution on the conference registration website.

Conference Audio:

Conf audio is available for 2016 at the completion. Video recordings of the keynote presentations from past conferences are available as on-demand streaming for free, and audio for the 2014 and 2015 conferences are available for purchase now on the conference website.

Temple Dedication

The entire weekend of the North Star Conference will be filled with spiritual enlightenment. Sunday March 20th (the Sunday following the conference) will be the dedication of the new Provo City Center Temple. All church services in the state of Utah will be replaced with a special dedication broadcast to local church buildings. In order to attend these services, attendees will be required to have a current temple recommend or special event recommend.

We look forward to seeing you in March!
